Trüb’s tachograph cards are made from fused polycarbonate and designed for optical personalization by means of laser engraving. The card bodies prove to be highly robust in harsh environments and at extreme temperature conditions. Such environments are very common for real useand are typical for cards placed behind the windscreen of a vehicle.
Tachograph cards comprise a contact chip, which stores keys and certificates for secured access to the data and functionalities of the vehicle unit. The system, which exchanges data from the vehicle units and motion sensors, includes four different card types (driver card, company card, workshop card and control card).
Tachograph cards comply with the Council Regulation (EC) No. 2135/98 of the Council of the European Union. In addition to all Member States of the European Union, this regulation applies for countries that joined the European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles engaged in International Road Transport (AETR).
